*Ongoing.
*Manhwa original, doesn't have a novel.
*Espers and Guides seem equally regarded with respect in-universe.
*Esper MC, Guide ML
*TW: Discussions about SA and trauma, self harm and suicide.
*Notes: one of my favorites, I love the relationship between the leads so much and I feel really invested in their emotional struggles. Can be a heavy read at times, but every topic is treated carefully and with respect. 10/10 imo.
*Ongoing.
*Not sure if it has a novel.
*Espers and Guides seem equally regarded with respect in-universe.
*Esper MC, Guide ML
*TW: Discussions about potential SA and trauma & loss.
*Notes: I like this one soooo much. ML is a bit of a prick at first but as they get involved more he grows in you. A lot of smut, but honestly I don't mind it. The hints of underlaying mystery are very interesting too. 9/10 but there's like 30 chapters so it might change etc.
: This series was originally made as a 10-chapter short story, then continued into a full one after gaining popularity. I have only read the short story so far. As such, this info may be inaccurate or incomplete.
*Ongoing.
*Manhwa original (iirc).
*Guiding seems more connected to sex, and is pretty much normalized.
*Esper MC, Guide ML
*TW: I recall discussions about potential SA.
*Notes: I recall I liked it. The art was unconventional but very good regardless. Solid 8/10 as a short story.
*Completed (+read).
*Espers are more highly regarded than guides.
*Guide MC, Esper ML.
*Notes: it's a short story so the worldbuilding is not detailed at all, but it's not that confusing if you know the basics of the genre. On top of espers and guides, it includes extra mechanics for a pair with high compatibility, which I found interesting. Also soulmarks?? Such an unexpected treat for a story so short, I needed more TvT
*Finished (not yet read).
*Has a novel, I believe.
*Notes: as I haven't read it, I know nothing of it. However I've seen people say it's pretty good, and many people highlighted the translation specifically, which I think adds to the reasons it's worth a try.
*Finished (and read).
*Not sure if it has a novel.
*Espers, especially ML, seem to be treated pretty much like beasts at times.
*Guide MC, Esper ML
*Notes: if you like the dynamic of "I won't fix him, he can make me worse" this is for you. I've seen people say MCs inner turmoil is annoying, but I really connected with it, the fear of being eventually abandoned versus the need for closeness. It's not the best one out there, but I enjoyed it quite a bit.
*Ongoing.
*Doesn't have a novel.
*Guides seem more strongly regarded than espers, but it might be due to MC being one.
*Guide MC, Esper ML (x2)
*TW: dub-con, SA.
*Notes: the art is so good that I want to keep reading despite how messy it is ngl. Quite spicy for a manhua, too. I need a throuple end...
*Also, underlaying plot is actually very interesting.
*Finished (+reading)
*Has a novel.
*Guides seem to be treated poorly. Espers are seen as beastly.
*Guide MC, Esper ML
*TW: Discussions about SA, trauma and loss. Dub-con?
*Notes: I haven't finished this yet bc I've been told the end was rushed. I'd still recommend reading it and then reading the novel (which is what I plan to do) since I believe the art and overall story are worth it. It kind of poses as a harem story at times, but it really isn't— there is only one ML.
*Ongoing (not yet read)
*Has a novel iirc.
*Guide MC, Esper ML
*Notes: heard good things about this one, but didn't read yet... Art seems very nice.
*Finished (not yet read)
*Unusual? Guideverse since they have other names, but the dynamic seems the same.
*Not sure if there's a novel but seems so.
*According to comments, the major TW might be violence and trauma (but take with a grain of salt.)
*Here mostly bc of the high rating and also bc I LOVE to see a story that uses different names, they usually have a in-universe reason which makes me curious about the worldbuilding.
