No longer really care about his progress. Initially liked the focus on details about magic, slimes, taming etc. but it's starting to be spread too thinly & we're sitting through details every chapter that aren't going to be developed to satisfying depth later. The other things that annoy me aren't getting better (child flagged as uninteresting future love interest, assumption of certain attitudes & behaviour being normal in every world etc.)
