Realistic, yet cute, representation of queer characters. Very Safe For Work, and one that I would suggest for younger and older readers alike.
If that is not bicurious, I don't know what is.
So far, none of the characters mentions homo or bisexuality outright, but they still love regardless of gender.
Even though the author states in the afterword that they wanted this story to focus more on gender than sexuality, I related so hard to Kazuma whenever he confronted his attraction and feelings. The Bi-Fi signal was definitely off the charts.
And I also vibed so hard with all the messing up stereotypes and prejudices.
Definitely one to recommend to anyone who wants to know more about bisexuality (the attraction to more than one gender) or to those who struggle to understand genderspectrums
While they never explicitly use the term "bisexual", and it still could be anything from pan to demi, then I deem this story to be wonderful representation of what it means to be attracted to someone regardless of gender.
Alongside that, this story just deal with many of the emotions and the drama that puberty and society collectively puts us all through. And it does this without being too angsty and over-the-top.
If you know someone who is struggling, this would be a good reccomen
Probably biased...
Wei WuXian is like a bisexual storm trapped in a body with ADHD. At least to me. Whether he ever acts on it, the flirting is evenly distributed among genders.
Mostly biased here... I admit it, this could very well be wishful thinking on my part. But Hua Cheng sends out these massive Bi Vibes.
'Cause remember, a bisexual man who has given his heart and devoted his life + afterlife to another dude is still bisexual.
This was... kinda cute. Although, the premise were.... interesting. It rushes a bit fast into the whole plot, but still manages to focus on a few serious topics around consent, trust, sexuality and gender.
Honestly, this had potential. The art is good, and even the idea is not bad. It's just that... while I realize there are some fantasies about the forceful type and cnc, I kinda feel like the story would have benefitted from just a few more pages to explore their intimacy so it wouldn't be so... rapey.
I wish more YAOI would name bisexuality outright, but alas, I have to settle with the "I always liked/dated one gender only, but now..." Scenario.
With that said, there are definitely strong Vibes here. Mostly in the "I'm questioning my entire sexuality now" variety, instead of the "I apparently can't choose who I want" kind. Which is a shame, but still a start towards acknowledging Bi+ sexualities.
