very wholesome and beautifully drawn sexually explicit in detail manga.
As expected of Zaria before we knew it she was churning out cute love stories with better art quality than ever! (here I am side-eying Mob for Jack lmao)
I really have a weak spot for anything Yoshinaga Fumi has ever written. I think she is an expert at writing emotionally poignant stories with such sensitivity.. Also her works are more mature than most in the BL genre, and a lot is left unsaid, which as an older reader I really appreciate. You really feel love and affection in her works
Ok whoever knows why the fuck this was ever named Sex Pistols pls let me know because I have no freaking clue. But ye anyway this is definitely my problematic fave ngl, it's just so good and immersive and Kotobuki(-sensei) builds such an expansive universe it's amazing. Also so many characters are just really interesting
ok so for the PG-13 viewers out there this is a real treasure. Sugiura Shiho is the reason I don't feel guilty for pirating manga like no one's business, because let's be real this will never come out in English and ugh what has this world come toooo
Anyways amazing work, solid fantasy story with a bunch of bishonen and some gay hints lol, I guess it's kind of an isekai predecessor the way Red River and The 12 Kingdoms are as well hoho but then BL. Anyways Sugiura Shiho ftw
i just- I love the chemistry between the two main characters I love shameless kuuki yomenai characters like the uke and the yolo seme I can't-
this is an old classic (that carries some problematic tropes) that really was a genre defining manga of the time. Also it's one of the earliest works that depicted how scary being out can be for someone (in the 90s and early 2000s yaoi was all like "Homophobia? Don't know her..) as well as mentioned the fear of the AIDS pandemic. I've reread it many times it's just so good
another amazing couple dynamic, Scarlet Beriko is def a great mangaka and is also good at giving nuance to her characters. Also the art is 10/10 I can'tttttt
ye so Im obv really into Abe Akane love her work and I love both genderbendy, more fluid characters and men that hide behind toxic masculinity how vulnerable they actually are. The couple is extremely wholesome yet starts as a messy, instant sexual attraction between two people who just "click" despite being extremely different and chaotic. Such a great read I have a physical copy too
this is considered soft bara territory. Really emotionally resounding work with the relationship between the two main leads being very fragile. Also it's not high schoolers, uni students or even people in their early 30s which you don't really see haha I love ittt
ok so I think looking back this is a weird work, like you don't know if the uke is actually trans or if he is a cross dresser or genderfluid etc, it doesn't really go there much, and honestly trans awareness was so behind in Japan I wouldnt be surprised if this person was trans by modern standards. Nevertheless I love the chemistry between the two characters and how they deal with the central point of conflict (ie the ukes crossdressing and their school social standings). makes for gre
