another oldie but goodie. how nostalgic omfg I was like a toddler fujo when I read thisssss... this is why im single
anyways omg this manga takes me back holy shit. it's technically a spin-off but honestly it's much better than the original pairing (where the uke is underage BECAUSE REMEMBER HOW THAT USED TO BE COOL??? I fucking hate the 2000s)
ughh why is this so good TT____TT I love these kinds of romantic stories!! Nishida Higashi is - most of the time - a great story teller! In a way this is about performative masculinity, loneliness, wanting to be loved, wanting to love. Very sweet story about two older masculine men with a more nefarious life than they wish..
Aoi Aki has a very unique way of creating her own world. All her stories are very beautiful and have a very unique sensitivity to them. Also the art is just so pretty *
Another one of the few webtoons I super dig. I mean pretty much an all star manhwa. Sexy scenes, super wholesome relationship, the couple has great vibes, THEY ARE SWITCHES!!!!!! (or seke as we call them in yaoi, though you rarely see the term BECAUSE IT DOESNT FUCKING HAPPEN), minimum drama and a realistic plot. I wish it went on longer ~ it reminded me of my own wholesome relationship years... esp the whole having a whole conversation while fucking, you don't see that in BL often ~
ugh Idk why I love this so much but I keep rereading it. Sooo sweet alongside its sequel as well <3
ugh this sequel is sooo sweet and wholesome I died a little inside while reading it <3
just all in all *chef's kiss* The Best!!!! Also the seme is such a dilf I'm done y'all
this is probably one of my absolute favorite webtoons.
I love their chemistry and their flirty dialogue, how their sex feels like real sex for once, clumsy but playful. I love how it's about two people growing through each other, and how grounded it is despite the ridiculous premise. And also omg the coming out to parents story that was literally me lololol
Shame it's only behind a paywall, but it's worth it you guys I swear, the epilogue episodes are also amazing THEY MAKE ME WANNA SQUEAL
kind of hard hitting but never did I expect to see a reflection of myself in a yaoi. I'm kinda shocked. I am reading this slowly but this has already left a mark on me. A heartbreaking and delicate deconstruction of the never ending cycles of trauma what happens when they intersect with the great beast that is desire (the answer is, often).
