I will never reread this one. I was expecting enforced sexist gender roles, and toxic couples, not the belittling and death of other's dreams and aspirations. Sure the latter is less important, but I wasn't ready. He's so rude to her, and it's cause her loves her? She never asked for his opinions yet sir loose lips couldn't let her breathe without attacking her. At least she's successful at the end, and I love seeing women thrive.

Boring. A lot of misunderstanding from miscommunication, also it's an arranged marriage situation so it tends to feel one-sided at times, in which the FL is dragged along because she had no other choice. Also the second ML, if you can even call him that, was more of a prop to make things happen. I think a lot was cut from the novel because he's way less of a threat than the story seems to think he is.

This was so fast paced even for a harlequin. The guy had no redeemable qualities, threw temper tantrums like a child, spoke like a child, and was overall pathetic. Didn't let the FL speak, and the moments she did he dismissed or didn't believe her. The ML was lower than trash, he's worse than gum stuck on the pavement. And I don't care if you have mommy issues, if you were my son, I'd leave too.
