Now here’s a deep, meaningful story about love and loss
It’s pretty short in length but packs a heavy emotional punch regardless. It also has an call-to-action to (spoiler) stop the inhumane hunting of animals.
Art: 10/10 tbh I’m impartial to how Lao Xian draws faces, but their coloring and sceneries are absolutely stunning and deserve the 10
Plot: 10/10 good structure; short but powerful
Characters: 7/10 oneshot=don’t get to know characters well
As a person who really likes rivalry leading to romance, this was a really good read for me (especially because it leads to noticeable character development). The two characters sassed each other a lot, and there was good banter.
Art: 10/10
Plot: 10/10
Characters: 10/10
Warnings: r*pe (but not by any main characters)
Leg fetish. Incredibly cute characters, i love them
When the tags said "mature relationship," they weren't kidding. The central conflict of the story is love vs filial piety/duty to your family and it was really intriguing, especially since it reflects society in Japan, where it’s important to get married and have children.
Art: 9/10 shading is a bit wonky for me, but it looks realistic
Plot: 10/10
Characters: 9/10 everyone is in the morally gray spectrum which makes them well-rounded and realistic
A sweet and moving love story from beginning to end. Its appeal comes from the simplicity of the way the narrative depicts their relationship and their world.
Art: 8/10
Plot: 9/10
Characters: 9/10
Strongest factor: the ending oh my god
A really fluffy coming-of-age tale. Some chapters aren’t uploaded, but it’s still quite satisfying nonetheless. It’s really mild though, and doesn’t really feature anything more than kissing (from what I remember. It’s a bit long so I don’t think I’ll reread).
I can’t give a definite rating bc I’ve forgotten a lot of it, but if I end up rereading, I’ll add it in.
I really liked the appreciation for latinx culture in this story (global diversity is a bit hard to come by in manga), and I also love the heavy ballroom/Latin dance theme. The passion for dancing in this story makes it a lot more meaningful and beautiful.
Art: 9/10
Plot: don’t remember enough, will add if I reread
Characters: don’t remember enough, will add if I reread
Strongest factor: dancing theme and the rivalry between ballroom and Latin dance
A longer one, and a must read! There are stories inside this story, and they're bittersweet and give both hope and pain. Absolutely breathtaking. Happy end for the main chars too! You won't regret reading this!
