Shinomiya (writer) X Sano (editor)
Comedy, slice of life
Extreme fanservice with loads of bromance
They live together, Sano acts like a doting housewife, to the point they are seen as an ideal of what a marriage should be and their boss even asks advice from them for his own marriage. Also, the writer keeps over thinking their interactions, and he just gets shy about it, no rejection over the thoughts of it turning romantic.
Satomi (middle schooler) X Kyouji (yakuza)
Comedy, friendship, coming of age-ish
The author said her intention was to "write a bromance with a relevant age gap". And write she did. The bromance is adorable, it's a really cute friendship. Also, by the end of the story we see Satomi grown up and wow, way to blush, baby, nice little fanservice to cap it all off.
Takara X Yuujin
Psychological, actors
Need to re-read to give a PROPER bromance review but I remember feeling very overwhelmed and suffocated, so or must've been good. There's some touching going on but I'm not sure they were romantic or just a disarray of feelings
Choi Yoosung (MC, transmigrated) X Kim Dojin (novel MC), but also Yoosung X Bernard (one of Dojin companions in the novel) and Yoosung X Jin Doyoon (his bodyguard)
Isekai, system, adventure
Very light on the fanservice, but the bromance, although not very frequent, is very in your face. It's not harem, the ladies are true companions and no main character show any sort of romantic interest for anyone. Everyone is a bit obsessed with the MC so YAY
Hiroki X Tsukasa
Supernatural, memory/mind manipulators, has a bit of aesthetic gore and horror.
Because of the world building most of these guys are terribly important to each other, to the point it hurts to be away from each other and takes a toll, mentally. That said, Hiroki and Tsukasa are the main bromance, as the others feel more paternal/familial of sorts and for how devoted and jealous Hiroki is. Also, Hiroki chose to make kenny see him and Tsukasa making out when manipulating his mind.
Ken (MC) X Shin (the shinigami. And also Ken X Ryuu (his debt collector)
Boy dies, makes a deal with a shinigami to get back to life and has to lend his body to help female spirits cross
No bromance but PLENTY of fanservice. Master X servant relationship.
Shiro (MC, Umbrella maker) X Kojiro (MC, cop)
So much fanservice and EVERYBODY gets a bromance, shit is crazy.
First, I gotta say: this is PAINFULLY straight, it constantly feels like a big "no homo" how the characters have to repeatedly do or say something to remind the reader they are hetero. Anyways, it serves nothing, the bromance is insanely heavy and every panel is a fanservice, and romantic feelings are heavily implied. There isn't enough space for me to review the duos tho
Ian (emperor transmigrated to a time before his own into the body of the illegitimate son of a count) X Beric (his bodyguard and knight)
Adventure, magic, action
There's some good fanservice, like the way Ian touches Beric, the panel construction, them sleeping together, we also get Beric calling Ian owner and whining about being "used and discarded" when Ian wanted him to rest. It's visually very pleasing.
The bromance is not exactly there yet, but I do expect it to become prominent.
This is the work of motherfucking Ogawa Chise!!!!
Light fanservice but it is a vampire story with a vamp and a human as roomies, so I expect more to come
