Female leads so powerful they turn you gay

I really liked this one. The female lead is incredibly dynamic and the tone is beautifully bittersweet. The female lead overcomes hardships and works to rise to power in a way that does not feel tropey. After achieving these dreams however, the FL finds that the power she dreamed of is not as sweet as she once thought it would be. The story has beautiful romance, creates a powerful feeling of loneliness , and has you wholeheartedly rooting for the FL

Ooo another blast from the past and one of my fist gender benders. Fl plays a videogame but her account is male. Lots of fun to read, classic shoujo, satisfying love triangles for those who enjoy that. Kinda SAO but genderbent? Definitely comes with some of the problematicness of classic shoujos, but I still hold lotsa fond memories. Worth a read if it sounds like your jam.

Iconic female lead from another classic shoujo gender bender. Not the most powerful fl on this list but, iconic. Still love her no-nonsense attitude and hardworking nature. Kindof a grumpy cat heroine. Suffers from some of the problems of classic shojo, but overall pretty great and ahead of its time. One of my fav blast from the past

Hehehe. A throwback, and don’t even get me started on how manipulative and problematic a lotta the relationship dynamics are but…. Man the FL can kick some ass. I remember little tomboy baby me reading this manga and just hyping out. Probably the best of the like 80’s tomboy-OP-fighter-chick-shoujo. Sci fi setting is the icing on the cake
