Female leads so powerful they turn you gay

It’s actually good?? I was flabbergasted. The first 13ish ch are cringey and the FL comes off as incredibly annoying BUT LET IT COOK!!! The story sells itself as a soap opera dumpsterfire melodrama, but really it’s a story about trauma. It spends a lot of thought exploring how childhood abuse affect fl’s adult life and relationships. By ch 25 I cared and by ch 50 I was sobbing. Surprisingly trope-subverting. Tw: some of the abuse-survivor thought patterns and behaviors hit hard

The premise looks really good, though this is one of the few I have not yet read on this list because, if it is good, it’ll also probably be kinda heavy, and real, in a fl-experiencing-a-midlife-crisis kinda way. so I’ve been putting it off in favor of spooky-er more fantastical stories

At first she seems like a typical adorable shounen female lead, but her internal commentary and general reactions to things are always a little more introspective and jaded. Very refreshing and fun read. I’m intrigued to learn more about girlo’s backstory, cuz im sensing a great well of hidden depths. excited to see where this goes.

My praise is lukewarm simply because I don’t have enough chapters to go on yet. But all signs so far point towards a likeable and 3 dimensional f

THIS ONE IS GREAT! FL So confident! (Though often that confidence is unfounded ) So earnest! So hardworking and driven… but not good at everything. Such a dork, but so cool because she wears her dorkiness on her sleeve. Feels so youthful and flawed but hopeful and full of potential and FUNNY AND CUTE and REFRESHING

Very good writing and art makes the characters come alive and reminds me of real friends I had in school
