another classic BL art style
if we're talking about visual metaphors and storytelling, this is a must for inspiration -- the way mental health can alter perception is so clearly personified (a more digestible ver would probably be a silent voice/koe no katachi)
they look so real and unpretty yet charming -- i love it, somewhat reminds me of chongtak's style but even less beautified. weird plot moments tho.
i like the atmosphere, it feels like it could easily be translated into a movie
the spread of endou on the train transitioning to tsuda lives in the creative recesses of my brain, the use of negative and positive space and how the panels just BREATHE is so, so beautiful
being able to draw such a sheer amount of cute floofiness and then switch it up with some cool character designs and badass expressions is a god-tier skill
say no more.
somewhat common style but still really crisp, clear, and has some great expressions/dramatic framing
unique character designs for the zhens
impressive comic style with great action -- feels like a mature samurai jack haha

Wow love your commentary–some of them are spot on. Are we the same age? bcs Pandora Hearts also had me on chokehold in middle school haha. Around 2012-2013 I learned about webtoons (Annarasumanara, Nowhere Boy, Girls of the Wild) and love the artstyle as well.
it sounds like we might be haha. those are some great webtoons!! i know i’m missing a lot of stuff on this list since i started it so late in my reading journey. thanks for the reminder~
