this was so out there and i loved it so much sob it wasn't too weird until you get to the alexander the great part and i sort of drifted off but man up till then this was one of my all time favs
yeah i never read the actual books lol i went straight for the manga version. read alllll of them and it was WORTH IT like a classic made into a classic manga? cannot top
this one and author in general -esp her other short work turning peony palace into a webtoon- is what got me into chinese historical manhuas and dramas. i had been resisting and this author destroyed my will with her incredible skill lol
this is also sort of split into a different story (song of the sky walkers) because her publishers were dicks lol
intense but amazing. the art is also just really a+++. if you into history and shounen this gotta be one of the tops i could ever rec.

omg feels like we have similar tastes.
