It's a reverse harem or it looks like that to me. Lol basically an Otome game brought to life. Ren cross dresses at an all boys music school and there she meets all these famous musicians. They're all gorgeous. But not gonna lie, Beethoven has grabbed my heart. Wagner gets a close 2nd though. Oh who am I kidding, I love all of them!!
So this is tentatively going on this list bc there's a Korean drama based on this and tbh I didn't like it(some actors pissed me off) so...I like this manwha so far, but we'll see if it'll stay on the list since I only put mangas I like here..read left to right bc Korean. Girl crossdresses as guy bookseller. Her eyes totally scream girl but I'll let it pass. Meets a vampire who's gorgeous(all the art is), love his eyes, and their lives start to intertwine. Historical Korea setting.
...I've wrote this review 3 times but it keeps disappearing :( . so simple summary: she dresses like a guy(maybe not on purpose, it's just more comfortable), he dresses like a girl sometimes, most times lol; they're childhood friends and shoujo logic says they must fall in love~ right??? lol, but of course we got to have jealousy and drama and misunderstandings but there's only 3 chaps so we'll see guys~
Okay. I'm putting this one the list, bc I read it a long time ago but never finished it bc it has like a bajillion chapters. I think I got halfway. I do remember the premise is really good. She cross dresses as her brother. It's historical, romance, very Romeo and Juliet, and all that shoujo stuff. I'll finish it eventually, but I just don't want to forget about it. Old artstyle. Lots of character deaths. There's a little bit of everything. BUT IT'S REALLY FREAKING LONG.
I had read this a couple of years ago, but didn't finish it bc for some reason shoujo mangas are really long. But today I pushed through and finished and oh my gosh, this manga is as hilarious as I remember it was!!! strong main girl that crossdresses as guy bc her dad's a bit of a fruitloop and wanted her to play basketball; there she meets her roommate chiharu, who she hates at first, but hate easily turns to love. slow burn (so a little frustrating), but hilarious. A perfect ending. xD
Dang it, I wish this wasn't a oneshot. It could have been amazing. Whilst there are so many stories that are too long for their own good, why aren't one shots like this being extended???? I have had a hard time finding good manga lately, so I'm glad I stumbled onto this shoujo. It's cute, but had the potential to be AMAZING. Girl crossdresses to join the army. Open ending...sort of. Beautiful artwork. One of my favorite shoujo mangakas.

They're twins (boy and girl), and the twin is cross dressing as a guy so that she can fly bc there's some crazy jinx that women are bad luck and can't fly (pffft). Her brother cross dresses as a girl bc, lol, "likes being pampered like a princess (totally feel ya man, I would too, if I had the looks~). Only one chapter. I repeat. Only one chapter! I want more!!!!!!
THis has potential. As long as it doesn’t involve a love triangle lol. Oh gosh I’m so worried, this could get bad shoujo so fast but it could be something amazing too! It’s too soon to tell, I can only hope. Twins switch places. And surely that guy knows she’s a girl right? He’s so freaking close all the time, surely? Idk, but I’m looking forward?
Lol i don’t even know guys. It’s misunderstandings galore. But Um it has strong female lead that looks like a dude. Not sure about her personality yet or the male lead...it’s hard to tell. I’m on the fence if this’ll be good or not. Like most shoujo I feel like it could get cliche real fast but it could be good? We shall see. Love that it’s a webtoon though bc full color yay! Art is pretty.
Damn this is good but I should have known since this was the author of gokusen. I’m so excited! It’s comedic but also endearing but also got my favorite cross dressing! Girl pretending to be a guy soldier/samurai lol lucky she has a tomboyish look. Girl from the 20th century has a smart ass brother that builds a time machine that sends her back to samurai war time. All she’s got is quick feet and a burning desire for the young Lord she met in the past. She’s awesome. A little bit dim but optimis

Same thing happens sometimes too with tags; I'm a fan of yaoi and sometimes it'll be tagged yaoi and I'm all, yo, this is a lady and a dude, totally not yaoi. lol. I haven't really read a lot of yuri, but there's one manga or I guess manhua that's I guess more shoujo ai than yuri called Tamen De Gushi, and it's absolutely adorable, it made me want to read more. XD Idk if any of you are k-drama fans, butttttt, over my Christmas break I stumbled upon a gender bender(specifically, a cross dressing female to male) that I had not seen, which is quite a miracle considering I've scoured the internet for good gender benders and have seen all the goods one, imo. And I'm surprised I had never seen this one before it's called Splash, Splash Love.

Danbi, on the day of a particularly important exam, instead of taking her test, she takes a leap into the past. There she gets mistaken as a male eunuch and just goes with it. Of course being from the future, puts her in the line of curiosity for the king. The two get close. But alas, it is a drama, and trials they must face!!
There's probably a better summary of this on the internet somewhere, but like I said, it's a loose summary.
2 episodes, guys. 2 hours. Make it last. You'll love it. :)
And just a warning, it has a bit of a slow beginning bc it's trying to set things up, BUT then once she gets to the past, it gets good, really good and there'll be tears and laughter, and sighs and fangirling, and you'll get angry then sad then happy and boy is it a roller coaster and gosh dang I wish there was more than 2 episodes. (≧∀≦) I just wanted to share bc I feel like this deserves to have everyone watch it because it was JUST. THAT. GOOD. Not just the actors/actresses(all of them!), but the editing, the directing, plot has been done before(but I love this plot!), the comedy, the romance, the freaking spot on OSTs(seriously lyrics, music, just perfect) the, just THIS is why I fell in love w k-dramas!!
P.S. It said this was based off the k-drama Love in the Moonlight(which has the cross-dressing as an eunuch and falling in love with the king premise if you guys wanna give that a go, I heard lots of people loved it, but...I...maybe it's bc I've seen too many of their dramas or bc I saw Splash, Splash first, but I couldn't get into it). I may try to rewatch it later.

Yes, I know it really is sad how it's different now than it was when it started. The beginning episodes were so funny and I still watch them whenever I want to laugh bc they're so funny! But I still look forward to running man each week, I still love watching the cast, they're just so good together. Don't even get me started on joong-ki, on the episode that he left, I cried so much!! And he's been back for a couple of episodes but I wish he would come back and be a permanent member again! But I am glad that he's continuing to do dramas.
