the summary makes u assume that the origin of the strange phenomenon that occurs to mc exclusively will be explained, but it isnt. it's just a means to allow him to time-travel to the past to solve a serial murder mystery, in order to prevent the murder of his mom. which was an entertaining read, but the time looping plot device is never really brought up again. anyway, it was great to see mc reconnect with his childhood friends again, tho only 2-3 were actually relevant.
subtle intimate vibes; lovely art style
mc and his motley crew of adventureres set off again in the underground dungeon to save his sister who was eaten by a dragon. the dry narration in contrast to mc's oddball predilection for monsters is hilarious. the banter between the charas are entertaining. the worldbuilding of the dungeon's ecosystems and monsters is intricate and well thought out. with such knowledge, the group cooks monsters to eat. we gradually learn what is the origin of the dungeon and its creator.
a psychological game that tests if moral integrity will hold up against the inevitable selfish human nature, and the answer is: not by itself, only with support like the ml's intellect and cunning would honesty, camaraderie, and trust actually be heard and implemented in people's hearts. a very well-written and thought-out story with several twists and turns, betrayals, deception, and lies. has one of the smartest protagonists in manga history. the liar game is an allegory to society.
if u seek a compelling character cast, this aint for u. this manga is essentially showing off how smart and cunning mc is.
mindblowing, epic cyberpunk sci-fi story with fantastic background art.
