A utopia with an underbelly. Young men with a very suggestive relationship. No. 6 is very reminiscent of novels like The Giver and stories about the Jewish Holocaust of World War II. I recommend this manga for that very portrayal of the dark--though sincere--utopia and historically real holocaust-like situations.
The shounen ai tone is quite strong. However, the bromance relationship between those very protagonists bring greater emotional investment in the story's events.
Definitely a mature read because of its nudity, sex scenes, and language. However, Hapi Mari--or Happy Marriage--is a refreshingly real presentation of married life. I would actually recommend this manga to those thinking about or planning to get married (maybe even to newlyweds) because of the practical wisdom it contains. . .important things I learned from my parents and other experienced married couples.
With a "jungle boy", comedy, supernatural abilities, and messages about the human heart, Meteod is a fun read that explores human emotions, the desire to protect, and those close to us. Panels are easy to read through. Plot twists at the climax were done excellently. The drawing work is well done too.
A true gender-bender that blurs the identity of the protagonist mixed with shounen ai toned tension. A good read with a good length for its plot. I'd recommended this for both gender-bender and vampire niche readers who don't usually read works of the other's niche.
An idealistic and fantastical romance. However, the writing is just wonderful. As expected of Kyoko Hikawa! Visit a Japanese medieval world again (for Inuyasha readers).
Kyoko Hikawa writing. One of her earliest works (the 80's!). This series is the collection of three separate stories in the protagonist couple's relationship.
