two high school boys navigating their first interactive sexual experience. has a fumbling and natural feel to it, rather sexy.
ch1-3 manaka and kinishita- soo sweet, i love the pace of the everyday and meeting by chance, the gentle promise of saying 'see you tomorrow.' 'moving' was pretty moving- just the simplicity of being together.
ch4-7 are alright, salaryman stories.the love scenes this mangaka draws are just perfect- more than just anal and both partners are into it. just a really natural feel that is very sexy and sweet.
fantastic! perfect pacing to develop their gentle love built on mutual respect and attraction. asakura's sexual awakening was refreshing, and i had real feels when he got the wrong idea about izumi and hikaru. the only disappointment is the lack of sex or chapters continuing their story once they became a couple.
Haruna is so great and i adore Yoh Komiyama! very sweet and realistic. shoujo.
actually made me tear up. beautiful art as always. the updates lately are a bit worrisome, we'll have to see where the mangaka takes this.
a mechanic and salesman are confused by their emerging romantic feelings for each other. i really like both the MCs and the story feels plausible, great art.
Love! Strong female lead, like the development of the characters, dialogue reminds me of work. josei.
so freaking funny. if you like airheads and delinquents, this is your jam. shoujo because of the female lead, but not really much romance to speak of.
woah. so sensually beautiful. wow.
former classmate helps unreliable mangaka. i really liked the depiction of falling in love, coming to terms with yourself, and how relationships change your thoughts about the future. also addressed the unique difficulties of a malexmale physical relationship realistically. nice work- hott sex, real feels- just so good.

What’s top drawer means? Top arts? Or mangas that always draw you to re-read them again and again? XD I love your list btw...
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy the list! I always wondered if people understood the reference in the title, so I am so glad you asked about it! And your take on its meaning would have never occurred to me, even though I really do appreciate great art in manga. So, thank you for sharing that.
Anyway, the drawer in 'top drawer' is like a chest of drawers, one you pull out of the wall or a cabinet and put stuff in. The phrase 'really top drawer' is old slang meaning 'of good quality.' It's in the movie 'Auntie Mame' (the Rosalind Russell version)- this snobby woman refers to some of her equally snobby friends as being 'really top drawer' and I always thought it was a funny phrase, so I used it for the title of my list of (in my opinion) 'top quality' manga. You can look up the phrase on YouTube, it's only a couple seconds long and it's worth hearing in all it's affected glory.
Thanks again for asking, you made my day!
Hey I love this list, I'm so glad you put your opinion in the notes too because it helps me get an idea of what to expect more than just the description. Love this, tysm for putting it together. It certainly is "top drawer"!
