NightS - A transporter falls for a mysterious client who actually is more than meets the eye. This pair is just too cool with a witty sense of humor. Includes extras.
Kanjou Spectrum - A teenage misunderstanding of who likes whom. I loved the dense Nakaya.
Reply - Office romance between an expert mechanic and a salesperson who barely smiles. Light plot, a bit lacking in the execution, but with realistic conflicts and pacing.

Junko-sensei crafts the story of a boy's inability to move on from an unrequited love, even as he tries to get rid of his feelings and the umbrella that was tied with them. Until, however, when someone comes to steal the umbrella, along with his heart. A surprising change of mood from this smutty-fluffy mangaka, it's a portrayal of the hypothetical question of choosing between the one you love or the one who loves you.

Endou gets asked by his uncle to work at his convenience store, and it's where he meets Yamai, a thuggish co-worker who is secretly simple-minded and has a soft spot for helpless things, just like Endou! It's a sweet story of finding someone who understands the darkest of human emotions, and loving despite the scars. Yamai is my favorite type of seme.

Aaah, the one that started it all. As my first BL manga, it's an overwhelming welcome, not exactly with much fanfare and confetti but with the story of Morinaga Tetsuhiro, who throws away all morality, reason and self-preservation just to get his hands on his beautiful, violent, homophobic senpai by any means necessary. Apparently, I've gone blind to all the flaws of this relationship, but hey, good smex is good smex. Plus, the character development was worth the long read.

If Romeo and Juliet were instead both men, separated by the enmity between their careers, and didn't give a damn so they could live out a riotous, comedic, and smoking-hot sex life, then they'd be Ueda and Aki. They're probably the cutest, most refreshingly uncomplicated couple in BL, and if you need a change in pace from all the rape and angst, this one is going to satisfy the hell out of you. But they won't stop there, because you know, they're both sexy beasts.

Summoning a hot demon by shooting a magic circle with your man fluids isn't exactly the best way to start any kind of relationship between mortals and immortals, but the awkward beginning takes off to a roller-coaster ride of fiancee-chases and underworld battles that would keep you at the edge of your seats. And Yamamoto-sensei ramps up her usual humor on this one, so don't feel bad if you can't put off reading it for a while.

Kimi to Kore Kara - equally adorable spinoff

Three words: BEST. SMUT. EVER.
Shingo is a black werecat who found himself in the possessive claws of the stunning, libidinous, were-leopard Kagami Keiichi. It starts off a bit hard to read (TRIGGER WARNING), but the way the story unfolds brings to light more than just lust and possession, but the painfully human struggle of believing that someone can be loved that much. The relationship grows gradually through sequels KKn Amaekata, KKn Nakasekata, KKn Itoshikata and KKn Afurekata. Enjoy.

Possibly the last installment to the Kuroneko Kareshi series (I kinda wish it is so that Shingo and Keiichi can finally have their peace). Shingo finds himself bombarded by anxiety when Keiichi's scent, a pheromone he exudes that assures the sincerity of his affections, suddenly turns faint. After falling in love with these two cats across five books, this last one is a feels trip, be warned.

Kikuchi has always been intrigued with his stoic student and his friend's lover, Akaboshi, and how the guy only smiles with the one who has his heart. But when things go awry between boyfriends, Kikuchi finds himself right below Akaboshi, ready to catch him. But is Akaboshi ready to fall into someone else's arms? A warmth-filled story that would make you see butterflies for days.
