Rather than BL, it actually focuses on a general conflict between abled and disabled people. it centers around communication so you might keep grumbling that theyre not communicating. but that's the point. it's not just the language or between abled and disabled, it's their difference in experience and perspective just like "culture" shocks.
one raises his nephew and the other helps out for the sake of love despite being uncomfy with kids. three seasons of differing struggles and development along with their family and friends. It's just a slice of life melodrama for the sake of a well-loved child and his doting dads (and mom)
it's just beautiful. the art. the flowers. the characterization, and the fact that it actually negates "hating someone similar to you" or "opposites attract". theyre basically living the same life but found comfort and meaning with each other.
