A total ride. Weird, exhilarating, and beautiful. However, the people who are reading this solely to be "scared shitless" really should find something else to read. Like the people affected by the town, the manga itself is meant to nag at the reader long after they finish. In that way, Uzumaki truly shows how well-written it is. Best read as a binge-read.
While I'm normally not interested in manga that has an element of gag to it, One Punch Man oddly works in perfect harmony. The art is breath-taking, the plot develops steadily as you go, the characters are all incredibly well-defined, and the puns are numerous. What more can you ask for? XD
No! I want moooar! It's not fair. It's such a good series. Strong characters, strong plot, and strong art. It's just too bad it was dropped. This could have easily been one of my favorites.
This is manga I have personally collected, due to its absolutely stunning art. I personally view it as one of the best Korean Manhua I've read. While the ending was sub-par due to being canceled, for its short run it had surprisingly good character development and depth. On top of having god-like art, it has a really nice whimsical feeling to it that I have yet to feel from another manhua. If you can get over the somewhat disappointing ending, I highly recommend buying this one (seeing as i
An incredible story about the preservation of friendship. It explored serious subject without talking down to its audience or coming off inappropriate. A great series about living life, when life is hard to live.
This series holds a special place in my heart as my first exposure to Noaki Urasawa, who remains today my favorite mangaka. Strictly speaking, his manga is top notch. All of it. While my personal favorite is Pluto, which is getting an anime adaptation soon, 20th Century Boys comes in at a close second. The only issues I have with this series is the fact that time skips are used too frequently and for not good enough reasons.
Some of the best art I've seen in a long time. I like it, plain and simple. I keep going back and forth in my head whether or not to give this five or four stars, but I guess every series could use a win at some-point.... an excellent, strange, short read. Just good times with realistic portrayals of almost-adult feelings and attitudes.
I think to skip out on this series, strictly because of similarities it may or may not have to existing series is really doing yourself and Boku no Hero Academia a disservice.Under a layer of Naruto-esqueness, this series is a treasure trove of character development and just plain fun writing.
This wouldn't be a series that at first glance would catch your eye, especially with the synopsis that it has, but the overall feeling that reading this gives is so refreshing. If you've ever read the series Castle Waiting, that's the only other series that has given me this calm, introspective nostalgia while reading. It's very pleasant, and I can't recommend both of them enough.
An incredible series full of nostalgic charm for me. I would always read/watch this series when I would be sick for long periods of times, and it's nice to see that it still puts a smile on my face even long after I'm no longer a child. I would advise reading the series on kissmanga, though, because the collection here is incomplete/out of order and not as well translated.
