4 Star Manga

Delightfully cringey. It has biting satire that hits close to the heart, in the best way possible. XD

This manga had an excellent feel to it. The story was well-thought out and drawn. I absolutely love it when the ending ties back to the beginning, like this manga. The length was a nice change of pace from usual manga and was long enough to enjoy myself but not too long to be boring. I love the art style; the whole time I was reading, it made me think of Okami and Twilight Princess.

Very well done manga. A bit on the short side, and the ending felt more like an invitation for more content, so it felt really abrupt ending there. It was a good ending, considering that the manga got cancelled half-way through, but I would have really appreciated more chapters. I very much liked the main protagonist as a character. He was strong without becoming too much of a mary-sue.

A lovely guilty pleasure read. As others have said, the ending is lacking, and the character I most enjoyed was pushed to the side by the end. The story pacing was really inconsistent, as well, but, over all, it had good drama and beautiful art. Don't bother reading the shitty translation online, though.

This is a series that I've very glad I've read it at different points in my life. I have a deep respect for a series when it has so much depth to offer, not just for me as an adult, now, but when I was a child too. I would definitely read the official release, however, as the online translation doesn't do it justice.

Essentially, the Twilight Zone meets interstellar travel. Incredibly good when you get down to it, but definitely takes a bit to get there. At first, things seem detached and arbitrary, but it ends feeling like things have definitely mattered over the course of the series; though, they definitely could have mattered more. It's not quite worth five stars due to the large amounts of expository text, which make sense given the context of the series but still take away from the enjoyment of the
