I first read this manga a long time ago, rereading this now, I could see a lot of problematic elements that were always prevalent in old BL. The nostalgic feeling still remains tho, and I genuinely think there's something really cute about the couple, although I feel like the sequel worked better in showcasing their relationship. 3/5
The characters and story development weren't that great actually, but the premise was really interesting so count this as a form of appreciation for it. The subtle criticisms about war, military, and people in power were great. I wish I could articulate good things about this manga better, but it's already 12 am here and I'm getting sleepy so uh yea it's pretty good. 3/5
Only BL can rope me into reading yakuza romance. I surprisingly didn't love this manga as much as I thought I would, but I still really liked it! Having Rui be the one that actually helped Natori regain his self-worth was actually a really nice reversal of the typical story. I felt bad for not loving this more, but oh well. 3/5
Why in the hell is this webtoon this short!!?? Aargghh I want more of this cuteness :( 3/5
I understand some of the complaints about the story (Uke forcing himself on Seme, Seme's deceased wife wanting to have a baby despite knowing she'd die soon), but I still liked the relationship between the two MCs, and how the manga showed the reluctance and fear from Junpei to start a new relationship after being closeted for so long. Flawed but really touched me emotionally at times. 3/5
A goddamn emotional torture. The two MCs started their relationship in a really icky way, but it was thankfully smooth sailing after that and we had one of the sweetest and most understanding couples I've seen in BL. All of the chars besides them fuuuucking suuucked tho, like holy shit what a bunch of toxic unlikeable chars they were (I especially wanted to punch Woojin in the face so bad). The journey to the end was really nightmarish at times, but the MCs made it all worth it. 3/5
cute! 3/5
Cute but the ending just kind of fell flat for me. First couple was the best, second couple was cute, third couple was the most interesting. 3/5
The side story at the very end was really awful. Greg also was a horrible character, don't let his eventual noncommittal and half-assed support fool you from the fact that he's a manipulative asshole.
The two MC and their relationship were really sweet tho. I wish we could've seen a more introspective look from them both about their breakup when they were young, and how being adults gave them the agency to maintain their relationship as opposed to before. Not bad overall. 3/5
