The whole "Kurneko Kareshi..." series is amazing. I read them totally out of order inadvertently, but I still really enjoyed each book. It would be better in the correct order... "Asobikata," "Amaekata," "Nakasekata," "Aishikata," and "Afurekata," for the record. Shingo and Keiichi are my second favorite couple, right behind Iwaki and Katou from Haru wo Daite Ita.
Such a beautiful and moving story. Brought me to tears.
The Junjou Romantica anime was my "gateway drug" for yaoi. I didn't know what I was clicking when I first started watching it on Netflix, but by the end of the first episode, I was hooked. I have put off reading this for a long time, because I got a bit tired of hearing Misaki wondering if he likes Usagi "in that way" over and over, but I was really pleasantly surprised by how much more nuanced the manga was. The story, characterizations and art work are so much better in the manga.
Wow, what an amazing book. It's not often that you see a manga tackle abuse, but this one did and did it well. My heart went out to Yumi, and it was so hard to see him return time and again to the abusive Kan-chan. The relationship between Yumi and Kannusuke really makes the happy end all the more poignant. One of the only BL manga to actually brought me to tears.
I absolutely loved this series. I see why it has an 80% 5 star rating. This series drew me in, and I couldn't put it down. I loved watching the relationship between Fumi and Sunpei develop. Such a funny series...I laughed out loud several times when I was reading it! It had a nice balance of serious moments, HOT h-scenes, and humor. Wish there was more!
All hail the great Ichikawa Kei!!! This is one is definitely a re-read. One of the more realistic relationship progressions I've seen in a BL manga.
I stg, Yuri gets more and more attractive the longer the series progresses. The art starts out a bit shaky, but really settles in a few chapters into the story, and then it's just so incredibly gorgeous. Cute story about a relationship between the popular and attractive Yuri, and the nerdy and not-so-attractive (or so his classmates say) Jaerim.
BEST Harada book, in my opinion, and she has some great ones. Dark, as always, but with a happy ending. Loved it.
Did I mention how much I love Ichikawa Kei? Well, it's called "Slow Starter" for a reason, but I really enjoy the slow pace. A sweet story from one of my favorite mangaka.
