You can read it even if you don't donate but you should really consider donating regardless since authors are more likely to drop works if sites like this make their work nonprofitable. (=・ω・=)

It just goes through as a transaction from paypal since they don't accept card directly (at least when I donated). It doesn't say who or what you donated to.
