This is my analysis on the second chapter's ending. Atsushi probably strucked Shun to put the blame all on himself. Shun said that he called the police, and Atsushi obviously didn't want Shun to be arrested, though he may be arrested for being a junkie. He might have hit him hard enougj to kill him or maybe he hit him enough to knock him out and cause bleeding but not kill him. With the police coming to the scene its obvious they will suspect and arrest Atsushi from what they will be seeing. Very sad ending though so I might not want to read this again.
