Eleanora...

Yumi5 January 26, 2021 5:01 pm

Hmm... Sorry people but I don't understand why some of you are like : "Find a better man for you eleanora, the Prince is a trash".
I mean, I hate the Prince too, and his rivalry with Ale is stupid, and he acts like a child and all, I don't like him just like everyone, but can we talk about how Eleanore looks like a total Yandere ?
Like ok she loves the Prince, but the way she follows him everywhere, cry when he talks with other people, think that people want to take him from her and all is seriously creepy and toxic.
I don't say the Prince is not a trash (I hate this guy) but that Eleanore should see a psy, because to me, it looks like she has some psychological issues and is not really the best person to have an healthy relationship with.
She reminds me of these toxic people who think that the other is an object, and isolate them from the others.
So I really dont have any compassion for her, and when we see how she basically used and threw Ale, just to have the Prince's attention in the og novel, I really hate her, and can't see why we should find her any better than the prince !

After, that's just an opinion like another, have a good day ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

THANG GOD i am not the only one who doesnt like that creppy psy vibes from that princess i mean honestly ibe was just a little nice and she alredy seem a bit crazy about her ? like she thought she would be her allay `? but then her sicko personality ob being crazy for the prince makes her not like ibe at the same time??? i have the bad feeling that in the future she might be so crazy obsessiv about ibe if she is nice to her longer. while i dont like the prince and he is bad playing with women we have to say its not like the woman dont know they are played so its not really that bad he is not cheating secretly and also with such a crazy princess after you i can understand him trying to get her to keep a distance with having other woman but i dont like him and the kind because they are mean to ibe and leandro and the fact he is interessted in ibe first only a little because she didnt play along with him and second because he is sick and enjoys trying to take what he cant have is pissind me of so i am torn between the princess and diego are unlucky because its going to be a toxic relationship for both if they both dont change but at the same time out of 10 time 9 times i think they are both weird and crazy they deserve each other and if they want to ruin someones life then they should do that to each other and leave poor leandro and ibe alone and be happy they had enough to take care of until know

I think people tend to be harsher towards female characters, but in this case I COMPLEATLY agree with you. She seems to have a victim-mentality, which is really toxic. I'd love to see someone slap some sense into her. But like you said, Prince is also trash. Not really because he's seeing other women (as long as his fiance is free to do the same) but because he's constantly crossing bounderies and tries to wreck a happy couple. He's just as much of a selfish bitch as his fiancé, much less whiny but still ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Jesus, ya'll pretty awful. You are all acting like you didn't just read that she was sent by her country pretty much as a offering/prisoner to marry the prince. Just imagine being a child sold by your family to marry in a place in which you know no one and having to study your ass of to become a queen while your supposed fiance is frolicking with other women. And also not being able to say anything about it since you basically hold no power. Also of course she fell in love or i think at least she became dependent on the prince since he was the only one that acted somewhat nicely towards her.

I really wanna know how you all would turn out in her situation without your "modern woman" knowledge.

Hum... Well I won't spoil you but in fact there is nothing to be sorry for her about the fact she is an hostage in an enemy kingdom.
But I dont want to say more since it didn't happen yet in the Webtoon ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Fair enough, there are reasons for her turning out like she does, but while there's a reason she's still not a symphatic character. The prince was just having tea with Ibelina and although his intentions were far from pure, her reaction and resentment towards Ibelina was unfair and childish. Despite knowing the prince since childhood, she doesn't even consider the possibility that Ibelina might have been pressured to attend.

Furthermore, they haven't been engaged for that long, but the tantrums when the prince has seen other women has been going on way before. It's a habit if her childhood that has yet to stop. In other words, her behavior hasn't matured much since she was a child, she sees the world in black and white and gets by on playing the victim card rather than trying to form deeper connections. She's disappointed in Ibelina because she expected her to be on her side without further prompting. There's no reflection over Ibelina's background and motives whatsoever, or recognition that they might have something in common. Had she been more mature, she'd recognize that Ibelina is a potential ally and made an effort to get to know her.

Besides, despite being a political hostage, having grown up in the palace and also gotten education, she has never reflected on her situation from a political point of view. We see her as powerless, but she might actually have more leeway than we think. Why else would she become the prince's fiancé? Why not just stay a hostage? They want to turn her country into an ally. Either way, she doesn't seem to care whether it's hopeless or not, she only thinks of the prince. Had she said something like "if I can get the prince on my side, my life would be easier" I'd like her more, because at least it would have proved some sort of reflection over her surroundings. But no, she just likes him because of that one episode. Are her maids also mean to her? Because it doesn't seem like it. Is that really the only kindness she has recieved in her whole life?

So while her environment, including her unsympathic fiancé, hardly makes it easier for her, she doesn't really have any redeeming qualities for us to sympathize with. She only thinks of herself, but still not enough to reflect over her situation, even as a medieval lady I'd probably find her annoying. It's not like women started to engage in politics first now, they have acted in the shadows for centuries, although it was much harder for them than for men. Either way, Eleonora might change, but as for now she really is annoying.

According to novel, she's totally obsessed w Diego, so she's as toxic and clingy to him I don't why ppl only hate Diego and not Eleonora.
