Same I felt bad for Kazuha, but in the end, it only makes sense for Rei to remain because, well, he’s real. Kazuha himself knows that no matter how hard he tries, he can never be real. Story wise, it wouldn’t make sense for the “fake” personality to remain in the end because then it’d send a mixed message that somehow changing your personality to be more “likable” is better than being your true self (especially because this involves neglect and abuse) and that just sounds wrong. I feel bad for Kazuha because he was so sweet, but he has to go. Rei shouldn’t need him or the others. He has to stand on his own feet and overcome his trauma without running away, not just for his own sake, but for all of his different personality’s sake. They can’t leave in peace if their creator doesn’t move on, can they? Kazuha still lives inside Rei so I guess it’s a good ending.

Like I understand the struggle between rei and kazuha, rei’s feelings of inferiority, and how kazuha was a reaction to his trauma. But, I feel like meeting Yuuma was the first time Kazuha didn’t have to act in defense or because Rei was scared, Yuuma was Kazuha’s happiness and someone he did not have to put on this show for. Man idk but i was really rooting for my Kazuha baby, he needed more hugs.
