I've been thinking about why Mikki and Chisa sees Nekota as a cat but here's what I have, and I think it's already pretty obvious . . . . . I think it's related to "waiting". Mikki waited for Her friend "Kana" while Chisa waited for Nekota to say sorry. But while they were desperately (maybe it's too much of a word haha) waiting, a cat showed up. Now I'm thinking it must be a mental or psychological thing. It must have been ingrained to their minds that Nekota is a cat because of the event/happening that I've mentioned above. As to why they can see his human face again, I won't dig deep and what I think triggered that is the realisation of love or just love. You know what they say, love is the most powerful force in the universe, I guess even powerful enough to remove something ingrained to their minds.
