How y'all feel about the hate Fujos been getting lately?

Buncha' Baguettes February 3, 2021 3:28 am

For myself, I'm a queer human jus' livin' it up

For me it's incredibly hard to indulge in straight anything when it comes to comics, it actually is physically difficult.

Heteros out there you cool, I jus' don't like the cliche stuff usually targeted at dudes. OR young girls because they always the same stuff, damsel in distress etc

I'm in the LGBTQ+ community and I'm here and there

A lot of the hate has been because a loud portion of fujos FETISHIZE ACTUAL GAY MEN.

See tho, sadly I been seein' we all been thrown into the same pot.

People argue queer women are the only one allowed to consume so and I think that's bullshit.

The real issue is that women are taking FANTASY and pushing it on NORMAL PEOPLE. Who happen to be gay. It's dehumanizing and wrong.

I had an issue with this a bit when I was younger. I want people to know it's never out of malice. That DOESN'T justify it. Fujos are not the victims of anything.

BUT IT DOESN'T MAKE HARASSMENT OK.

It's something that should be TAUGHT.

TEACH these kids how to treat people. You don't get rid of inequity with MORE HATE.

For myself;

Yaoi is how I accept myself for who I am and relax.

Yaoi is how I've become MORE ACCEPTING with queerness in society AND WITHIN MYSELF.

Yaoi is how I explored my sexuality safely.

Yaoi is how I became more loving of those who are not as society wishes us to be, especially with gender non-conformity.

Not all yaoi has good messages. That's a fact, I can't change that.

I prefer indulging in yaoi with real people and real men just loving each other, but I indulge in others as well. I can't justify what goes on all I can say is my moral standing isn't based off media I consume.

Wanna know a great example of this? Video games lmao.

I just wish y'all would understand we ain't the same.

No, we shouldn't gate keep porn. No we shouldn't maliciously generalize. No we shouldn't hate people off of what they enjoy without purposeful harm.

What we SHOULD do is understand it is NOT okay OR right to not treat REAL people as people.

I want to put out there, yaoi is on all extreme ends of nearly everything. I could go on and ponder why but that'd make this too long lol

But really. There's beautiful queer representation in yaoi.

On the other end, yaoi is like a sort of pseudo straight relationship under the guise of two men. So there's many grey lines of whether we can really say it represents the community when it shoes no resemblance of so.

And there's stories that push limits to the brink in experimentation.

Not all yaoi is created equal. Not all yaoi is good. Not all yaoi is bad.

The same is for it's fans.

For me this goes for yuri as well. I feel like by demonizing queer relationships in media and lovers of so you demonize US OURSELVES. Please think twice and try to consider us and the existence of the genre as a WHOLE before you write us down as one thing.

Sorry for the long ass rant. I just don't like the hate it's been getting.

I'm a queer individual who's in and loves the LGBTQ+ community.

I don't like how we're being treated as if we shouldn't be in media, I don't like how people are getting hate for their sexual desires.

Just remember guys. Treat us ALL like humans. We all deserve that. Gay or straight.

Thanks for reading lol hope it doesn't come out as disrespectful and hope you can see my side- Idm disagreeing just be civil please. <3

I know right people need to learn to separate fiction from reality! Very well said! As someone whose bisexual (female) and leans towards girls it really frustrating when real world people keep fetishizing WLW relationships in real life and force that on them. Or keep saying bisexual people are chronic cheaters. I feel u there buddy
