I would definitely have enjoyed the story more if less time had been given to the Karen's pettiness and a little more to the thought processes and character development of the ML. He was an attractive stick figure, but a little fleshing out would have improved the story.

Yeah, it would have been nice to see him loosen up a bit, at least around the FL, but the last few pages leaves you with the hope she’s gonna run off on him .
Well, if one's looking for:
- unreadable ML
- still kind and gentle
- obfuscating his real intention out of ... well that would be a spoiler.
