Solve each of the given inequalities for z. Which of the inequalities have 1 as a solution?
Inequality 1: 2(2.9z+3.5)<30.2
Inequality 2: 4(1.5z+1.25)_>-7.0

Also the teacher wants me to show my work

    Use PEMDAS
    5.8z+7<30.2
    -7 -7
    5.8z < 23.2
    divide 5.8 on both sides
    z<4

4(1.5z+1.25) less than or equal to -7
6z+ 5 is less than or equal to -7
    -5 -5 (subtract 5 on both sides)
6z is less than or equal to -12
Divide both sides by 6 to isolate z
Z is less than or equal to -2

That means the first equation is the answer as the second equation’s greatest value is -2 which is less than 1

Wait I fucked up it was greater than or equal to for the second inequality so it’s z is greater than or equal to -2 which means both equations work
