Okay, at first I thought this would be fine and interesting because maybe after traveling back in time she still has her memories but is forced to act like a child or something like that. But then she said she is actually 17 and doesn't like plushies because of that?.... She isn't a bit clever and doesn't even talk for some reason. Except for the time where she successfully escaped (with the help of the prince that is...) she just doesn't use the chance she has been given to escape the count and her death. Everyone has to constantly save or help her because she is good at finding herself in troubling situations. Anyway, I guess the abuse she suffered from in the future/past(?) has something to do with it, however this is frustrating considering she is the protagonist. Even the female leads in any otome game talk more.. This is all my personal opinion btw, I guess I just don't like this type of protagonist, love the art style tho and thank you (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Yeah I know, I mentioned it cuz I try to take that into consideration but I just personally dislike this type of protagonist ig. Moreover, the pacing is painfully slow lol. If there was any type of character growth I couldn't be able to tell

Yes, I'll just wait some time and give it a chance later when it has more chapters/when it's finished, I reeeally hope she changes a bit

It's hard to put her in the same box as other weak protagonists. Because a lot of the time they are weak just because. She has a valid reason for her weakness. Her back story explains everything.

She seems to understand that she needs to run away in order not to repeat her first life. Other than that I don't think she has the skills for more. But that is to be expected when she was isolated the way that she was. Even if she has received book learning, its no good without proper human contact. Cuz that is how we mature. It's why parents that home school their kids arrange play dates and field trips with other home schooled kids.

Also, I think we have gotten too used to super smart protags being inserted into a child's body. When once again her backstory explains it all. She never grew up. If she were swapped with the average high schooler from the modern world it would be different. But past her has less lived experience than a elementary school kid I'd say. At least the average modern elementary school kid gets to go outside. They have friends and enemies. They have begun navigating which authority figures can be trusted and which ones can not. They even have responsibilities, like homework, cleaning their room, maybe even a pet. And that's all gained from just going to a regular school and interacting with people.

Yeahh i agree completely like i wouldnt be surprised if she doesn’t like change her personality or the way she acts until she’s like actually older and has grown up in a better environment. Even that sometimes doesn’t help people who have been through a past like that. Honestly throughout this whole manhua I just want her to be happy with who she is where she is and for her to be safe. Like she went through sm it’s obvious it’s gonna take so long for her to get better yk? Like she was isolated, abused, degraded, and not had any sort of love for 18 years! Like the poor girl doesn’t even know right from wrong rn

Yeah makes sense and all but I still don't like her as a protagonist rn, she knows she has to run away to escape her bad ending but surrenders herself when there are people willingly trying to protect/help her? If she really didn't grow up at all, then she wouldn't have surrendered herself, more so because of her trauma. There are just things that don't add up (how would she know that a 17 yo wouldn't play with plushies? I doubt that stepfather gave her any..) as of now. And yes, I'm used to smarter protagonists because those are the ones I prefer. I don't know, also the focus of the story is just not clear enough for me honestly, is it about her growing up because she never got to do it properly before? Is it about the supposed holy powers or the father daughter relationship? If it was about survival she wouldn't have surrendered herself like that. Tbh I probably won't read even after it's finished but it's nice to see other opinions, I just personally don't have fun reading this, but if you do that's great (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
