I hope karma hits her hard. She is the worse parent out of all this. The dad is a flake however, it was wise (although very selfish) for him to let the brother look after the girls since he was aware he had ZERO stability to offer the girls and didn't even have a home. How was he in the position to suddenly to take care of 3 kids out of the blue?
The mother knew this, yet threw the children away so she could have the newlywed lifestyle with her new husband. Not giving a shit about their welfare. And then tried to use hotaka and her husband as scapegoats to why she wasn't around.
