a doctor took advantage of a 14 year old chronically ill child (who eventually got healthier some time afterwords) who got disowned after refusing to reveal who got her pregnant. Instead of treating it appropriately, we get a basic "oh yeah" from the doctor (who didnt even bother to remember he slept with her...not amnesia btw, it just didnt cross his mind at all) and a "oh dont you remember. You..." from the mom, who is apparently not tramuatized at all. This isnt the main plot either, its just slightly glossed over and then first brought into glaring clarity in an arc of the manga/ova ( who show family emotions produced from the resulta of kicking out their 14 year old, but disregard the seriousness of what happened by having her and him treat the encounter as nothing much as adults (HE was an adult from the beginning) and eventually having the doctor and mom marry). No, this is not the main plot. But its so freaking off putting and part of a large arc, that the way they handled it rubbed me way too wrong. To ignore.
So, spoiler.
