I think its because seme is a foreigner and they just adore other cultures.
And like he have some issues with sex which was understandable tho i also dont get what the major conflict is or was it even have

I didn't like how the seme was a little obsessed with the uke being Japanese, that didnt sit right with me
And also I didn't understand the conflict, like seme got scared cause uke was learning to enjoy sex... just like he wanted from the beginning? It was kinda unnecessary
