shoto was made to train against his own will, will touya wanted to train but his dad pushes him away. one suffered physical and mental abuse while the other suffered extreme neglect which fuelled his lack of self-worth. both are bad but in different ways

I think that maybe Endeavor tried to release Dabi of the pressure of surpassing All might showing him that Shoto was better suited for that weight, but no Because Shoto was better than Dabi but because he didn't hurt himself with his quirk, I see a father struggling to make his kid stop doing things that hurt him, but his kid is so obsessed with getting his acknowledgment that he's willing to whatever it's in order to get it....

And with Shoto...

Maybe Endeavor was in a hurry, like, he wanted Shoto to hurry up and show them that he was could surpass Allmight, so that Dabi would give up in his dream and stop hurting himself...

yeah i get ur point its not all black and white. but i do think both parents are more at fault since they took on the responsibility of having kids and ignored the problems the family clearly had. they tried to brute force it/ignore the situation rather than properly communicating. had enji or the mom (sorry i don’t remember her name) showed they were proud of touya outside of his quirk and that if he still wished to be a hero, he could cultivate his power in a way that was healthy and sane (for example, one for all is too powerful for deku so he uses hero gear and fight with his legs rather than arms) they couldve avoid his intense turmoil. having another child was not the solution to take (although it gave us adorable shoto)

I get you too, and to be honest I think they all were under a lot of pressure by their family and the other heros expectations, also it's seems they were scared of his own son as he became obsessed and their efforts to stop him from getting hurt were in vain , they tried to solve the problem in a wrong way but what if just what if they had more kids in order to find a cure or a way to solve the problem that Dabi had? Like maybe they were looking for some genetic solution by finding the thing that he needed in order to stop getting hurt by his own power?

Well the difference between midoriya and Dabi here is that the first one gets hurt and he want to get stronger while trying to avoid getting hurt as much as possible and he can suppress some of the damage by using his armor and reducing the impact in his body while on the other hand Dabi doesn't frigging care if he get hurt, also he get burnt with his quirk and I don't think you could reduce the impact of if with some gear or armor like.. You could try to cool off his body but his quirk is based on the super heavy heat that he can make and if you try to cool him he would probably need to put more effort into raising the temperature which is worse... The fact here is that he's body isn't able to stand the heat and even if he didn't get burnt maybe he would have an internal collapse as his body is made for standing the cold

Mmm.. Let's say that Midoriya get hurt by the impact and vibration of his punches and kicks but can be suppressed by some kind of amortization in this armor that distributes the impact... While in the other case his body isn't suited and is opposite to his quirk and you can't redirect the heat as this comes from inside the body, like even Endeavor have issues with the high temperatures he can reach and his body is made for it and can stand it... Just imagine what this do to Dabi body

ooooh i see ur point at the quirk thing. man, theyre family is so complex, i truly wonder how the mangaka is going to resolve this, that is, if hes even gonna resolve it >.<

I hope that they can solve it, because at least until now we know that Endeavor can't and doesn't want to fight his kid and it would be very unfair to have Shoto solve this situation...
