I liked the story, but I still gave you a thumbs up, because I agree with you 100%! I've NEVER given a thumbs down, because even if their opinion is different from mine, they are entitled to their opinion.
I guess if people are entitled to give an opinion, others are entitled to give an opinion about the opinion... it doesn't mean they get to deny the opinion itself. Just my opinion ╮(￣▽￣)╭
It's kind of a way to say "I don't agree with your opinion". For me, at least. It doesn't necessarily mean something bad. It's just the opposite of a thumbs up which means that you agree.

I don't think people are trying to be mean but just expressing their opinion...why shouldn't they?
And I'm wondering why people hit the thumb down when someone criticize the story or say they didn't like it. I mean, comments are for people to share their thoughts either it's positive or negative.
