Yes I just did. Pretty disappointed with what's happening so far. ): But it seems that Niram is starting to show more interest in Mariko on Volume 2. They're pretty cute together I must say. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Yeah it's true. Shun faked his death to run off with a foreign woman he loved. The butler knew about the plan too.

Nope, she's not. After Shun escaped from the train, he went ahead to meet her. Yeah, poor Mariko. ): There was a short flashback to when Shun introduced her to an elder and she felt so loved by it. Hopefully in later chapters Niram will catch Mariko attention.

What do you mean by Shun introducing her to an elder? Who is this she? The other woman or is it Mariko.
I would hope Mariko and Niram would become official. There is some many more volumes left so there is a chance. But I have also heard that the progress is very slow.
Although I picked this up because of the time setting. I love the time period. Sensei's other work in "Golden Days" is also very good. I just don't hope the story progression is not that slow.

The elder I spoke of (I'm assuming) is the head of the family. I'm supporting Mariko and Niram too! Apparently according to Baka-Updates; there is currently 7 volumes and it is still ongoing.
