Y'all I'm guessing Zackary is batshit crazy because she fell in love with MC's mother, but MC's mother didn't like him back but loved MC's father who in turn loved MC's mother then one day something happened between them (yeahhh virgin mah ass you are the father cold Duke, get your daughter out of there) then MC's father for some reason need to leave MC's mother not knowing they conceived a child, then MC's mom had weak constitution therefore she died early, only leaving an heirloom with a family brand on it. Now Zackary, my crazy guy saw the child.and thought the only way he can get revenge on MC father and to keep the memory of his deceased love of his life is to keep the child and keep it from the world.
