I get what you are saying, I think, when you are curious or discovering that you like bdsm, there is a lot to learning and normally people do it little by little... for me was like that too, but when you actually plan on do it with someone, plan on making it real... you wanna know what you are getting into or at least wanna learn something to dont embarassing yourself or to make sure the other will like it.
