yeah, but a lot of humans aren’t “normal”. a lot of people are self destructive and have issues. showing these flawed and crazy characters is pretty realistic in my opinion because a lot of people have unhealthy desires, but a lot might not act on them (unlike these characters). I think this story expresses a lot of human nature and our inner desires we dont act on because we think its better not to. thats just how i feel, but no one has to agree.
this is a masterpiece. everyone saying they dont understand it and criticizing the characters dont understand that thats the whole point. humans are horrible and flawed, and we yearn for selfish love. we are supposed to criticize these characters, thats what makes them so human
