im guckinh cryih djdjdh ANYWAY to those who don't understand what's up:
jeremy is in love with shuli in her first life and it threatened ohara that jeremy has someone special in his heart and that in turn will make her turn into her mother who was neglected by her father for another woman. (hence the reason why she's marrying someone as detached to love like jeremy + his power as marquis)
so when jeremy expressed his plan to let shuli stay in the household for a little more after their marriage, ohara is batshit scared and went to the poor shuli and spew up shit that jeremy doesn't want her in their wedding, which ended up with shuli leaving as soon as possible to respect 'jeremy's wish'
which the fucking church took as a chance to regain their power in the empire so they got her brutally killed in the guise of the imperial family not being able to control the bandits = putting the citizens to huge unrest for their safety which led to a civil war of some sorts.
shuli's death in the first life has become the detonator who blew up the empire.
oh also nora was an imperial knight who is under the emperor's control in the first life and has never been involved with shuli.
