did they really mean to break up? i don't think so honestly i see it as something like she'll never get to see him in a long time after all of that waiting. I mean she thought that she'd be finally be together with him again after graduating but she got a chance of being an actress and will probably either get applied to another school or not go to school at all. Meaning the long wait of spending times with her boyfriend again will collapse right? Thats why the dude promised to be a better stage handman or whatever so even if she continues to pursue her dreams, she can still spend lots amount of time with him. but uhhhhhh dont know if he could do that while studying in uni
