But an author like Fujitsuka,as that person is now, won't definitely do that and it's actually quite normal in japan if cousins get married,(in ancient japan,incest[even brother-sister] is not a taboo and used mostly by noble households) tho today most people who do this are those in high society who'd like to keep their riches to themselves or bloodline of the clan~ ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
That is a valid concern but I think if it's just once, it's fine. The genetic problems and infertility occur when it happens long-term like with the Egyptian royal family.
My stepdad is the result of two cousins marrying. He has a genetic disease, caused by both his parents being carriers, that makes the smallest fungal and bacterial infections life threatening.
So yeah, sometimes it only take one generation of in-breeding.
Me and my 4 siblings are children from my parents who are cousins but we are perfectly healthy
well, in a lot of asian country, marriage among cousins is not considered taboo. in my culture (malay) although we don't encourage marriage among cousins, it's not disallowed altogether.
I like the couple but I have trouble getting past them being cousins. I mean what if they want to have children in the future; they'll have physical issues since it's inbreeding. I might be thinking too much. This is fantasy after all. Anything can go and anything can happen I suppose.
