I can only speak for myself and even though I consider Painter of the night my "guilty pleasure" I still acknowledge the fucked up shit that happens and condemn the stupid seme. I literally hate his guts and express my annoyance after every single chapter.
Most people feel the same as me. No manga should get sugar-coated when it comes to rape and abuse.
P.S it's ok to continue reading mangas with rape etc if you are able to tolerate it but you need to be able to differentiate BDSM, rough sex and rape. That's what's scary to me. People saying no this isn't rape when it so painfully is. What's not clicking??
Acknowledge the rape and move along that's all.
