from what i've seen kaeluc aren't even adoptive brothers. the ragnvindr household took kaeya in to spy for his homeland, khaenri'ahn, where kaeya was hinted to be of monarch (FUCK PRINCE KAEYA ?!). ofc he would call crepus "father" as a tribute of respect towards the man who raised a foreign boy like him.

the game and story is literally from china. meaning they had may or may had multiple mistranslations in the game. kaeya saying they are "sworn brothers" in the webtoon but "adoptive" is one of them. if you had literally read a single chinese manhwa (eg 19 days) you would see mo guan shan's friends call him "brother mo" (or how like gang members call their comrades), lol even he tian who is his other half calls him that.
in china, sworn brothers are like besties who promise (vow) each other to be there for them whenever, that they trust each other (sounds gay to me)
chinese readers said that they strongly rejected the idea of kaeluc being siblings. the eng translators failed to convey the bond that two friends have (bc it may be too much, like in the game they were told to be twins, too insync, too much together) they mistranslated it into kaeya being an adoptive brother.
if you would compare the chinese fandom to the eng fandom, they literally have kaeluc as #1 on thei ship lists in genshin. because they are not brothers. it is the westerners who keep on pushing that they are. why do they force kaeluc shippers to believe that they are siblings? are you into incest? some of them aren't even chinese or asian yet they say so much. go back to ur riverdale what the fuck.
oh! and i'm so tired of seeing kaeluc shippers try to explain all this and yet i see kaeluc antis "nah not reading that congratulations or sorry" see? this is why there are continuous misunderstandings. because you fail to educate urself! theyre so fucking embarrasing im so sorry im ranting ive been holding this in for days.
