Yeah they can write what they want but we can also give comments on the issues we read. the author is literally romanticizing rape basically and giving false info on sex. We’re not gonna let that go and just saying to go along with it is also enabling this behavior

It is not the author's job to give you a SEX-ED lesson. Just like you shouldn't be using porn as a way to learn how to have sex, because it is not an accurate representation. Enabling this behavior? You just said the author could write whatever they want.

Just like life, not everything is gonna be peachy and happy. That will never happen, because that's life. It's not the authors job to care about such high societal issues, and if you're using yaoi and basing it on real life, that's another thing because people should be doing their own research to make sure they're properally educated. Not learning about life through yaoi nonetheless or through a story that may or may not be presenting accurate facts. People make stories as an escape, not to be morally right or help society.

But someone do write with the intention of informing and helping, but not everyone needs to or should have to.

I understand life is not gonna be peachy and happy but I personally think forced sex shouldn’t be romanticized like it is in the side couple. If it was portrayed as it’s a bad thing then I understand that it happens bc life isn’t peachy etc. media influences society no matter what u believe, so as a consumer I do have the right to criticize it and it’s the author’s choice whether to take that criticism or not. It may be a STORY, but these characters could be similar to a person irl, not saying that they are but It’s possible. I can't really deny anything you said. It's a touchy topic for some people, I for one just take things with a grain of salt and I don't let it affect my choices or the way I view things.I just want to enjoy the story without morality coming into it, but of course, we can have our opinions.
