it’s basically the time before the first chapter
we never saw how he fell for the mc and this is showing how he got interested in him (if you reread the first couple chapters the ml was already interested but we never saw how until now)
The extras are currently what happened before the comic. And their first impressions of each other. Right now they're just colleagues.
