I'm probably not seeing it

I don't shed tears for ungrateful, manipulative, selfish, rude people, even if they do get cancer. Not everyone with cancer is a good person, as this manga clearly shows. Sometimes you reap what you sow and I'm not hesitating that maybe this horrible, debilitating and life-altering illness was simply karma. She was such an utter bitch, an utter and complete irredeemable bitch. I have no idea when she started becoming like this but not even her brief friendship with her childhood friend could make up for her shitty attitude towards everyone around her, even her parents who were with her the entire time (yet never once tried to steer her in the right direction).

I do admit that that sex buddy walking out on her after she revealed her breast was removed was very cold, but did she honestly expect a deep relationship from a guy who never seemed to show any interest in her other than her body and sex skills? She practically victimizes herself by trusting the wrong people and acting shocked when they stab her in the back. That's what happens when you're a horrible person that makes it very clear that you want none of this "sentimental, respectful" dynamic. Not everyone is going to be altruistic and selfless despite your shit like your childhood friend or the nurses or your mother.

TL;DR I'm glad she got cancer.
