I love his character especially in the prequel. I like the fact that he has strong personality who’s passionate about his work and he’s not the typical uke who can be easily taken advantage of. Though he can be too harsh towards Hatakeyama, I felt bad for him whenever Yamasaki says something that can actually hurt his feelings. At least Yamasaki apologised at the end so I guess that makes it less bad(?) and i’ve seen some character development from him.
I feel like if Yamazaki is paired with someone who has personality similar to Hongou, arrogant and can be annoying, I would feel alright. Since Yamazaki’s strong personality can put them back in their place or keep them grounded.
