I think it was so that she has something to protect herself with. Same reason for why he said that she be placed at the Shadow prison so that no one can harm her without his permission. My theory was that with her being framed, her father decided to oust the emperor and partner again with Max. Max was probably there pretending he will torture her but in reality will save her instead but she killed herself. That's why he cried out "Noooo"
not a spoiler but I feel like he handed her the dagger for protection and sent max to free her since they both seem to hate the king and the king doesn't seem to know they're on each other's side and I think she misunderstood and killed herself with max trying to stop her but was too late. Just a theory tho
Im hoping nothing bad happens to her father. And i want to know why he handed her a dagger in her past. Did it turn back time or something? Someone spoil me plsss
